Editorial Complaints & Corrections

Effective Date: December 28, 2025

Our Commitment to Accuracy

At Men’s Sports & Lifestyle (Men Trending), our reputation is built on trust. We strive for the highest standards of journalistic integrity, factual accuracy, and fairness in every review, article, and editorial we publish.

However, we recognize that journalism is a human endeavor, and errors can occur. When we get it wrong, our policy is simple: We admit it, and we fix it.

This page outlines our procedure for handling editorial complaints and requests for corrections.

2. What We Accept Complaints About

We welcome feedback regarding:

  • Factual Errors: Incorrect statistics, dates, names, or product specifications (e.g., misstating the weight of a football boot).

  • Ethical Concerns: Issues regarding plagiarism, undisclosed conflicts of interest, or failure to disclose affiliate partnerships.

  • Broken Links/Technical Issues: Dead links or formatting errors that hinder readability.

  • Misrepresentation: If an individual or organization feels they have been misrepresented or quoted out of context.

3. What Is Not A “Complaint”

Please note the distinction between a factual error and a difference of opinion.

  • Opinions & Reviews: Our reviews in the GEAR section and articles in the OPINION section represent the subjective views of our editorial team. Disagreeing with a review score (e.g., giving a product a 7/10 instead of a 9/10) or a columnist’s viewpoint does not constitute an editorial error.

  • Comment Moderation: We reserve the right to moderate or delete comments that violate our community standards (hate speech, spam), and this is not subject to the editorial complaints process.

4. How to File a Complaint

To ensure your complaint is handled efficiently, please send an email to [editorial@mentrending.com] with the subject line: “Editorial Complaint – [Article Title]”.

Please include the following details in your email:

  1. The Article URL: The direct link to the story in question.

  2. The Specific Error: Quote the sentence or paragraph you believe is incorrect.

  3. The Proposed Correction: What you believe the correct information should be.

  4. Evidence/Source: Provide a link or reference to a primary source (official manufacturer spec sheet, official statement, etc.) that supports your claim.

5. Our Process & Response Time

Once a complaint is received:

  1. Review: Our Chief Editor will review the claim against our source material and the evidence you provided.

  2. Timeline: We aim to acknowledge all substantive complaints within 3 business days.

  3. Action:

    • If an error is found, we will update the article immediately.

    • For significant factual errors, we will add a “Correction Note” at the bottom of the article detailing what was changed and when. This ensures full transparency for our readers.

    • If we determine the content is accurate, we will reply to explain our reasoning.

6. Retraction Policy

In rare cases where an article is found to be fundamentally flawed, fabricated, or legally infringing, we may issue a full retraction. The article will be removed, and a retraction statement will be posted in its place explaining the decision.
