Policies & Ethics

1. Our Core Promise: Readers First

At Men’s Sports & Lifestyle (Men Trending), our mission is to build the ultimate playbook for the modern man. To achieve this, trust is our most valuable currency.

We operate under a strict code of conduct: Our loyalty is to our readers, not to advertisers, brands, or algorithms.

Whether we are reviewing a $300 pair of football boots or analyzing a controversial trend, our coverage is guided by three principles: Independence, Accuracy, and Transparency.

2. Editorial Independence & Commercial Integrity

We are a reader-supported publication. While we monetize through affiliate marketing and advertising, we maintain a strict “Church and State” separation between our editorial team and our business operations.

  • No Pay-for-Play: We do not accept payment in exchange for positive reviews, higher ratings, or favorable editorial coverage. You cannot buy a 5-star review on Men Trending.

  • Affiliate Transparency: We often use affiliate links. If you buy through them, we may earn a commission. However, our writers and editors do not know which brands pay higher commissions than others. We recommend what is best, not what pays the most.

  • Sponsored Content: If an article is paid for by a brand (Sponsored Post), it will be clearly, boldly, and unambiguously labeled as “Sponsored” or “Partner Content” at the top of the page. We do not disguise ads as editorial content.

3. Product Reviews & Gifting Policy

Our GEAR section is the backbone of our site. To ensure fairness:

  • Loaner Units: We often receive products (reviews units) from manufacturers (e.g., Nike, Adidas, Garmin) for testing. This is standard industry practice. However, providing a product does not guarantee a review, and it certainly does not guarantee a positive one.

  • Real-World Testing: We do not review products based on spec sheets. We wear them. We train in them. We sweat in them. Our reviews reflect real-world usage on the pitch and in the gym.

  • Return Policy: In most cases, high-value electronics and hardware are returned to the manufacturer after the review period.

4. Sourcing & Fact-Checking Standards

In an era of misinformation, we commit to rigorous verification.

  • Primary Sources: We prioritize information from primary sources—official club statements, direct interviews, medical journals, and manufacturer specifications.

  • Attribution: If we report news that was broken by another publication, we will clearly credit them and provide a link back to the original story. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited and results in immediate termination for our contributors.

  • Medical Disclaimer: Content in our NUTRITION and TRAINING sections is for informational purposes. It is researched and often reviewed by experts, but it is not a substitute for professional medical advice.

5. AI Policy: Human-First Content

Technology is a tool, not an author.

  • We do not publish AI-generated articles. You come here for human insight, experience, and voice. Our articles are written by humans, for humans.

  • AI as a Tool: We may use AI tools (like ChatGPT or Grammarly) for research assistance, idea generation, or spell-checking. However, the final output is always verified, edited, and authorized by a human editor.

6. Corrections & Accountability

We aim for perfection, but we are human. When we make a mistake, we own it.

  • The Process: If you spot a factual error, please email editorial@Men Trending.

  • The Fix: We will verify the claim. If an error is confirmed, we will correct the article and append a “Correction Note” at the bottom detailing the change (e.g., “Correction: An earlier version of this article misstated the release date of the iPhone 16”).

  • Retractions: In rare cases of fundamental failure, we will retract the story entirely with an explanation.

7. Community Guidelines

We encourage debate, especially in our OPINION section. However, the “pitch” must be respected.

We reserve the right to delete comments that contain:

  • Hate speech, racism, or sexism.

  • Personal attacks against our writers or other readers.

  • Spam or unauthorized commercial promotion.

Play hard, but play fair.
